Digital Loyalty Card for takeaways, döner shops & quick-service spots

A digital loyalty card for takeaways, döner shops & quick-service spots replaces the paper punch card with a pass in Apple or Google Wallet. Customers collect a stamp on every visit and redeem their reward after 5 stamps — no app download and no sign-up.

In detail

How does a digital loyalty card for takeaways, döner shops & quick-service spots work?

A döner shop lives on frequency. The lunch break, the walk home, the 2 a.m. post-club hunger — the regulars come often, but they rarely carry a punch card. In this example program the card therefore lives where the smartphone already is: in the wallet. The branding is 100% tailored to the shop — bold signal yellow with a pitch-black accent, the logo prominent, no compromises for a generic loyalty look.

The program: collect eight stamps, the ninth döner is free. At a döner price of $7.50, that works out to a reward value of $7.50 on $60 of revenue — a 12.5% discount, paid out only to the regular, not on every first visit. Exactly the mechanic that rewards frequency without giving away margin on first-time buyers.

What makes this especially valuable day to day: the wallet card works late at night on the walk home too. When a regular is out late and standing in front of the shop, geofencing has iOS surface the card on the lock screen automatically — no need to dig through the wallet; the card is right where they use their phone anyway. Order, show the QR, stamp, done.

For the counter the workflow is trivial: a POS tablet or a simple smartphone scanner with the punch-card staff app, one QR scan, the stamp is set. The wait time does not grow — the fast, takeaway-typical rhythm stays intact.

For takeaways, döner shops & quick-service spots

Why exactly this configuration?

Bold yellow on black

Brand yellow #FFD600 on a #1F1F1F background — the card stands out in the wallet stack, and the guest spots it instantly.

Door-to-stamp in under 5 seconds

Late, hungry, impatient — geofencing pushes the card onto the lock screen. Show the card, scan, döner — done.

Cross-promo with fries or a drink

The pass detail drawer can carry a promo banner (“Fries day today — free fries from 5 stamps”). It shows only on active cards.

Clean hands, clean branding

No ink stamp with greasy fingers, no ink smears on the card. The digital version holds up to the day-to-day of a takeaway.

In everyday use

What does this look like day to day?

Where the wallet card makes the difference — not theory, but real-world situations.
  1. The lunch-break wave

Three construction workers walk in, all already have the card, the counter scans three QR codes in 8 seconds. No extra wait, three more stamps.

  2. Card full at 8/8

Push “Your free döner is waiting” — the regular comes by the next day just for it. The reward is redeemed, the card resets, a new cycle starts.

  3. Special Saturday-night hours

The shop pushes “Open until 4 a.m. today” to every card within 2 miles. A very direct channel, a very direct ROI.

How it works

In three steps to the first stamp.

From the first scan to the redeemed stamp — the whole flow takes just a few seconds.

Step 1

Guest scans the QR code

At the counter, on the receipt or on a table tent: one scan and the stamp card lands right in their wallet. No app. No typing. No hassle.

Step 2

Card stays in the wallet

The card appears right in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — with logo, stamp count and QR code. It updates automatically after every visit.

Step 3

Staff stamps digitally

Staff scan the QR code in the guest's wallet. The stamp is added automatically and the transaction is saved.
