How many paper punch cards from café regulars are crumpled up in wallets, backpacks, or already in the trash right now? That is exactly the pain point a digital punch card in Apple and Google Wallet solves. The demo program on this page is called “Coffee loyalty card” — five stamps, the next coffee on the house. Just like paper, except nothing gets lost and the card is always with you.
For guests the flow could not be simpler: on their first visit they scan the QR code at the counter and the card lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — no app to install, no account, no downloads. On the second visit they show the card on their lock screen, a staff member scans another QR code, and the stamp is set. Once all five stamps are there, the guest automatically gets a push notification (“Your free coffee is waiting!”) — on the next visit they show the card and redeem.
What sets the wallet solution apart from an app-based loyalty card: the card is part of the operating system, not yet another app guests have to download, set up, and remember. Apple and Google handle the push notifications, the location triggering, and the visual refresh — the café has to build none of it. The branding stays fully intact: the logo, the colors (warm espresso brown with latte gold), the program name — everything shows up in the wallet exactly the way it looks at the front of the café.
For the café staff that means: instead of fumbling with an ink stamp and punched-through cards, the team uses a simple QR scanner (or the staff app on a smartphone). One scan, one stamp — done. No forgotten stamps, no broken ink pads, no cards soaked through after a rainstorm.
The café on this page is made up — the preview above is not: it comes from the same renderer as every pass we ship. The pixels you see are exactly the ones that land in your guests’ wallets. Drag the stamp slider to see how the card changes as stamps are collected.
The demo program carries the café’s own logo and brand colors. Both wallets adopt them 1:1 — the card looks like it was lifted straight out of the café’s own branding.
The moment the last stamp is set, the guest gets a native iOS/Android notification. No email marketing needed — the nudge comes through the system.
When a guest walks past the café, iOS actively surfaces the card on the lock screen. The regular sees “Your coffee is waiting” — without the café sending any ad.
Because the card lives in the wallet, the guest always has it on hand — it even survives a phone switch, since Apple and Google accounts sync it automatically.
A regular grabs their espresso, shows the card on the lock screen, staff scans it with the POS tablet — stamp set, the line does not get any longer.
The guest automatically gets the push “Your free coffee is waiting.” On the next visit they show the card, staff redeems the reward, and the card resets to 0/5.
The café sends a one-off push to every regular with an active card: “We’re back — and you still have 2 stamps open.” Wallet-native, no newsletter setup.
No. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet come preinstalled on every iPhone and Android device. A single QR scan is enough to add the card.
The Starter tier is free forever (up to 30 active cards); Business starts at €9.90 per month plus VAT. See /pricing.

Step 3
Staff scan the QR code in the guest's wallet. The stamp is added automatically and the transaction is saved.
